Women’s History Month celebration: Bella Abzug receives proclamation from NYC Mayor Eric Adams

On March 28th, 2024 BALI Founder and Executive Director Liz Abzug and her sister Eve, were invited to Gracie Mansion for a wonderful event honoring our namesake Bella Abzug for her work as a pinoneering Congresswoman and feminist Leader, leading the fight for women's and civil rights. Her daughters ( pictures below) Liz and Eve Abzug, received a proclamation in her honor by Mayor Eric Adams. BALI Staff, alumna and Board members, proudly represented by joining Liz and everyone there to celebrate Bella and many other amazing women for their groundbreaking work they did and continue to do everyday.
